If you're watching this video in 2024+, the normal node is not in input. You can find it under Add>Geometry>Read>Normal I really love blender but the constant reshuffling of tool locations makes it extremely difficult to stick with. Spend more time researching where things moved to than you do working on your project. Thanks for the handy video.

Hey boss, what can I do in the selection portion in the uv unwrap node? Like let’s say I’m trying to uv unwrap at tree and it has leaf instances. But the uv unwrap set up unwraps everything on the tree. How can I tell the selection to avoid the leaf instances ? Basically uv unwrap the entire tree but the leaf points

How would I add an image texture to the metal scaffolding? Do I need to apply the modifier and uv-unwrap it?

The thing I see much more rarely in tutorial and training videos is the WHY in explaining a particular task. ALL training videos explain WHAT to do, but more infrequently do they explain WHY it’s being done in a specific way and alternative ways it could be done to achieve the same or similar results. And to go a bit deeper showing some common mistakes that are made in attempting a particular result. MANY times I have followed along through the steps in a video, and it usually works fine, but I have to go back over it and study all the steps in an attempt to better understand it so I could do it again in the future without the need to watch the video again. So THANK YOU for explaining the WHY in what you are doing AND the common mistakes or directions that could be taken that will not yield the desired results. FAR too many tutorials do not take this into consideration and its the difference between garden variety tutorials and exceptional ones.

As for 2024 instead of ('Position' and 'Curve Handle Position' and 'Substruct') block, use 'Curve Tangent' node and connect it directly to 'Align Euler to Vector'
